Rangers Split with Athens and Union City

The Rangers competed against the Indians of Athens and the Chargers of Union City this Wednesday, May 10 in Union City. It was a competitive day with the Rangers falling to Union City, but coming away with a victory Athens. The team is peaking at the right time and multiple Rangers achieved impressive PRs. The following were top performers for Reading.

1st place finishers included:

800m: David Bignell PR (2:10.42)

1600m: David Bignell PR (4:55.76)

Shot Put: Gabe Healy PR (38’ 1 ½”)

Long Jump: Ethan LoPresto (20’ 10”)

4×400 relay: Seth Steele, Tyler Whinnie, David Bignell, Ethan LoPresto PR (3:42.82)

2nd place finishers included:

200m: Ethan LoPresto PR (22.70)

300m Hurdles: Quentin Vanderpool (49.91)

4×800 relay: Seth Steele, Trey Shafer, Anthony Willoughby, Matt Dau PR (9:43.24)

3rd place finishers included:

100m: Tyler Whinnie PR (11.44)

200m: Tyler Whinnie (24.29)

1600m: Matt Dau SPR (5:15.97)

Discus: Gabe Healy (105’ 6”)

Pole Vault: Trey Shafer (9’ 6”)
