It was a tough afternoon for the Lady Rangers as they dropped a double header to Athens, 13-5 and then 12-1. The first game started off with some fireworks as Tayler Coe and Sumer Rodgers hit back to back home runs. Tayler would later add another home run in the 6th inning, finishing with a 3 for 4 game with 2 home runs and a single. Sumer Rodgers went 3 for 4 in the game with the solo home run. Marie Weidmayer went 2 for 3 with a walk.
The second game, Reading struggled to get the bats going consistently and only recorded 3 hits on the day without an extra base hit. The Lady Rangers will next be in action at Pittsford next Tuesday for their final test before districts begin May 29th at Concord at 12:00.
