The Reading Boys Basketball hosted Homer on Friday February 10th.
A strong first half from the Trojans and some offensive shooting struggles from the floor and the free throw line struggles by the Big Red would put the Rangers down 28-12 at the half.
The Ranger offense started took better shape in the second half, however free throws would hurt the young team again as they would go 6-16 from the line in the second half.
Nick Affholter led the Rangers with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Alex Price had 5 points and 10 rebounds. Ben Affholter would add 12 points.
It was a tough night for the Rangers, however Coach Kerspilo was proud of the effort the team gave. “We were down 23 points, and we had Dylan Rose working as hard as he could on both sides of the ball and Devin Giberson dove for that last loose ball of the game. So the hunger’s still there we just gotta find a way to start making some more buckets.”
