The Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) recently announced its postseason awards. The Ranger Boys Varsity Basketball members were honored to receive recognition for two different distinctions.
Senior Mathew Dau received the TEAM FIRST award. The criteria included players who most exemplified putting the team before self, teamwork, commitment, service and sacrifice. Mathew was the team’s most encouraging member and played/practiced with enthusiasm and high energy, he was a big part of the team’s success. Congratulations Mathew on displaying the strong personal character traits that are the foundation of the Ranger Boys Basketball program during this past season.
For the second consecutive season the entire team was recognized as Class C Team Academic All State. The Rangers had an average team GPA of 3.656 the total ranked the team 5th of 188 teams in the MHSAA Class C division. The Rangers are truly honored to accept a plaque for this achievement, as they moved up in both ranking and GPA compared to last season.
Congratulations Ranger boys on the recognition and for having a winning season on the court and in the classroom this season. The honor is an outstanding example of what the Ranger Athletic Program strives for in tis student-athletes.
