The Rangers would cut the lead to 1 point in the 4th period, but were forced to play the foul game and Camden hit their free throws down the stretch. The Rangers would fall by a score of 57-47.
“It’s tough to not come out on top, however we have to be encouraged about our performance based on the amount of practice time we’ve had together.” said Coach Kerspilo. “It was a big game atmosphere and we stepped up to the challenge, with more time put in together on the court in practice you can tell it’s going to be a fun year.”
Eli Irelan led the Rangers with 12 points. Porter Mauk added 10 and Ben Affholter chipped in 8. Dilon Denison dished out 3 assists.
The Rangers will look to make a quick turn around as the host the Fremont Eagles on Tuesday. Game time is 7:00 pm.
