The Reading Rangers hosted the Springport Spartans on Friday night in their second game of the season.
The Rangers would jump out to a 17-1 lead in the 1st quarter, with the help of the hot shooting of Dilon Denison who had 15 points in the quarter. The team would stay on that same path as they would lead 35-12 at the half.
In the third quarter the Rangers would expand their lead even more outscoring the Spartans 20-4 to take commanding 55-17 lead at the end of the third quarter, and win by a final score of 58-20.
“We certainly played much better tonight with a game and a few more practices under our belts.” said Coach Kerspilo.
The Rangers were led by Dilon Dension with 25 points. Porter Mauk finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Eli Irelan added 11 points and Colton Wiler finished with 9 points and 5 rebounds.
The Rangers are now 1-1 on the season and 1-1 in the Big 8 conference. The will have a short rest as they play at Bronson tomorrow at 3:30 pm.
