Senator Caswell Recognizes Track Team

At Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting State Senator Bruce Caswell presented a state letter of recognition to boys and girls that placed at the state track meet earlier in June. Ranger Boys Basketball Camp

32 students in grades 3rd – 8th participated in the Ranger Boys Basketball Camp on June 4th, 5th and 6th. The future Rangers were instructed in the skills of basketball including ball handling, passing, shooting and defense. Softball Season Ends

The Lady Rangers beat Pittsford 12-3 in the District Semi-final last Friday. Katie Haines took the win with 9 strike outs and 3 walks. The Rangers had seven total hits; Karissa Shay had a triple while Tayler Coe and Katie Haines both had doubles. In the Championship, Reading lost 5-3 to North Adams Jerome. Haines

Thomas and Cummins Place at State Meet

Mason Thomas and Shannon Cummins both made an appearance at the State Track Meet this past weekend. Mason tied for 3rd place in the Pole Vault and Shannon finished 8th in the 300 meter hurdles. Great performance by both!

JV Baseball Wins One

The JV Baseball Team outscored Union City 13 -12 in game 1 of a double header. David Fitzgerald hit 2 doubles and turned a double play. Jacob Green made his pitching debut and got the win. Rangers lost game two by a score of 13 to 1.

Lady Rangers 7-0 in Big 8

The undefeated Reading Girls Track team beat Union City last Monday 70-67. Terasa Eidenier won the 3200m, 1600m and the 800m; she also was part of the winning 3200m relay with Hayden Keegan, Marie Weidmayer and Alyssa Kinney. The Girls Varsity Track Team won the Litchfield Purdy Invite this past Saturday, scoring 120 points. This is the fourteenth time that the girls have won this invite.
