Lady Rangers Lose to Homer

The Lady Rangers played a good Homer team very tough falling 68-47. Every player scored at least a point in the game tonight for the first time this year. 8th Grade Girls Lose to Bronson

The Ranger girls’ 8th grade basketball team lost a close one to the Bronson Vikings on Monday night by a score of 35-33. For the Rangers, Ashanti Bester led all scorers with 16 points. Mallory Wheeler added 11, and Emily Stewart chipped in 6. The Rangers record dropped to 7-1 and they host the Jonesville Comets Wednesday night.

Rangers Beat Union City

The Reading Rangers hosted the Union City Chargers in a make-up contest this past Saturday night. Four Ranger Wrestlers Advance to Regionals

On Saturday, February 10th, the Reading Wrestling team traveled to Lawton High School for the Individual District Tournament.  Placing 4th for the Rangers were Dalton Green (103) and Carter McKibbin (145).  Green opened the day with a loss to Mendon’s Kyle Drewer but bounced back winning his consolation semifinals match with a 10-6 victory over Eau

Rangers Compete at Team Districts

On Thursday, February 8th, the Reading Wrestling team traveled to Bronson High School for Team Districts. The Rangers came up short on the evening succumbing to Bronson 54 to 23.  Winning for Reading were Quentin Vanderpool (119), Zack Keegan (135), Carter McKibbin (145), and Ethan LoPresto (152).   Vanderpool, Keegan, and LoPresto all won by fall. 

Lady Rangers vs. Homer

The Lady Rangers battled Homer Tuesday night. Homer’s depth wore us out as Homer pulled away late to take a 71-39 win. Baleigh Irelan scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Cassidy Smith scored 10 points and had 5 steals.  The team will host Union City for Homecoming on Friday, February 9th, game time 5:30.

8th Grade Girls Basketball Host Quincy

The Lady Ranger 8th grade basketball team hosted Quincy Monday night and came away with a 42-13 victory. Unselfish play was the theme for the night as 8 Rangers figured into the scoring. Mallory Wheeler led all scorers with 11 points while also having a strong rebound and assist night. Emily Stewart scored a season-high 9 points,

Lady Rangers Fall to Orioles

The Lady Rangers fell to a hot shooting Quincy team Friday night 60-36.  The Rangers were led by Baleigh Irelan with 13 points and Cassidy Smith with 11 points and seven rebounds.  The team will travel to Homer to take on the Trojans on Tues. Feb. 6th, game time 5:30 for JV, Varsity to follow.

Ranger Wrestling Finish 5th in Big 8 Tournament

On Saturday, February 3rd, the Reading Varsity Wrestling team spent the day at Union City High School for the Big 8 Meet.  The Rangers started the day on a strong note with seven guys advancing to the semifinals.  Dalton Green (103), Carter McKibbin (145), Ethan LoPresto (152), and Anthony Willoughby (160) won their semifinals matches

Rangers Almost Spoil Orioles Homecoming

The Reading Rangers Boys basketball team traveled to Quincy to take on the Orioles this past Friday night. The Rangers jumped out to an 8-3 lead in the first quarter with the help of baskets from Tyler Whinnie, Damon Black, and Alex Price.  Not to be outdone on their homecoming Quincy would make a strong push back
