8th Grade Boys Fall to Bronson

The Reading 8th grade boys’ basketball team hosted the Bronson Vikings Monday night in Kerspilo gymnasium. The Bronson team’s size and strength wore down the Rangers, and the game ended in a 30-19 loss. JH Boys Win

Our 7th grade team beat Homer 34 16 last night in Big 8 JH basketball action.  The Rangers stepped up and outscored their opponent in every quarter.  The young Rangers played very good defense again holding Homer to just one basket in the 4th. Eight Rangers scored with Kayden Hanning leading the way with 8. 


The Rangers are crowned Regional Champs with a 26-21 thrilling victory over the Lenawee Christian Cougars.  The Rangers used a punishing ground and pound attack behind the offensive line of Johnson, Elder, Moes, Rhoades, Affholter, and Reynolds to run the ball 54 times for 288 yards.  Elijah Strine had a huge night with a career

Strong 2nd Half Leads 7th Grade

The 7th Grade Rangers came from behind to defeat Quincy last night in Big 8 basketball action.  The Rangers erased a halftime deficit and finished the night with a nine-point lead.  The stingy defense of the young Rangers continued as they held Quincy to just three points in the 4th quarter. The Reading Rangers run their winning streak up to 10 games in a row and defeat the previously undefeated Cassopolis Rangers 28-6.  The Land Sharks were at it again holding Cassopolis to just 34 yards rushing on 17 carries.  The stout run defense forced Cassopolis to abandon their run game and go to the air

7th Grade Boys Basketball Swats Yellow Jackets

Our 7th graders played Concord again and the results were the same.  Rangers came out on top 28-18.  The Rangers stingy defense played tough the entire game limiting Concord’s opportunities.  A balance attack from the offense also helped propel the young Rangers to Victory.  Over half of the team put points on the board.  Skyler
