Rangers Beat Yellow Jackets

Rangers win Homecoming game. AGAIN!  The Rangers downed the Yellow Jackets of Concord 18-6 using a stifling defense and the ground and pound rushing of Alex Miller.  Miller led the Rangers with 208 yards on 23 rushing attempts, scoring two touchdowns.  Jared May also scored on a 15 yard screen pass.  Defensively the Rangers swarmed

Homer Trojans Take Down Rangers

The Rangers lost to the league leading Homer Trojans 41-0.  The Ranger defense could not corral the potent passing game of the Trojans.  Corey Norris led the Rangers with 7 tackles.  Mason Thomas and Alex Miller each rushed for 70 yards, but could not find their way in to the end zone.

Reading JV Football Take Down Yellow Jackets

The Reading JV Football team came together for a huge win over the Concord Yellow Jackets.  Dalton Creager got the Rangers on the board with 1 yard touchdown in the first quarter.  Kyle Gardner added a two-point conversion and then rumbled 12 yards into the end zone in the 2nd quarter to make the score

Cross Country @ Homer Jamboree

The Reading Cross Country teams traveled to Homer this week.  Girls placed 2nd behind Homer with 65 points and the boys placed 5th with 143 points.  The following girls placed in the top ten; Terasa Eidenier 4th and Michelle Davis 9th. In the Jr. High race Baleigh Irelan placed 3rd and Kenni Bassaged placed 7th.

Ranking for Girls Cross Country

The Reading Girls Cross Country team is ranked 9th in the State.  Both teams will head to Homer tonight for a league jamboree, start time 5:00 p.m.  Good luck to both teams as they finish up their seasons.   For more information on rankings you can visit

7th Grade Volleyball

The 7th grade Volleyball season was kicked off this past weekend.  The team attended a tournament hosted by Union City.  The team finished 2nd in pool play by defeating Concord, Springport and splitting with Jonesville.  Later they lost to St. Phil in the semi-finals 25-15 and 25-21. Varsity Volleyball @ Union City Tournament

The Ranger Volleyball team finished 3rd this past weekend in Union City.  The team really came together and worked hard, everyone from the team contributed.  The Rangers came out of pool play in 3rd place and began bracket play by defeating Centerville 25-19, 25-17.
