Bassage Runs at XC State Finals

Reading’s Kenni Bassage traveled to Michigan International Speedway to compete for her fourth and final time in the Division 4 Cross Country Finals earlier today.  Bassage finished 120th overall with a time of 22:12.  Congratulations to Kenni for her hard work today and throughout the season!

CC Competes at Regional Meet

Reading’s Varsity and Middle School Boy’s and Girl’s Cross-Country teams ran in the fourth and final jamboree at Victory Park in Albion last night. Reading’s Varsity Boy’s and Girl’s Cross-Country teams competed at the Hudson Booster Invitational Saturday afternoon.  Freshman Kayla Wohlheter ran a PR of 29:29.  After the race, Kenni Bassage was recognized with a Hudson Booster Senior Award for success on the course and in the classroom over the last four years. Reading’s Varsity Cross-Country teams opened their league season with Jamboree #1 at Jonesville High School last night.  Placing in the top 20 on the girls’ side was Kenni Bassage (4th place – 21:36) and Emily Marquart (12th – 24:16). Reading’s Varsity and Middle School Boy’s and Girl’s Cross-Country teams competed in the extreme heat at the Pittsford Invitational Saturday afternoon.  All five of the Lady Rangers that ran medaled.  In the opening race of the day three freshmen medaled with Maggie Steele taking 10th place (26:55), Khalea Westfall taking 18th place (31:39), and Kayla Wohlheter taking 20th place (32:25).

Reading’s Varsity and Middle School Boy’s and Girl’s Cross-Country teams competed at the Mendon Invitational this past Saturday afternoon.  Two of the Lady Rangers that ran medaled; Kenni Bassage took 10th place with a time of 21:40 while Emily Marquart took 20th with a time of 22:57.  Bassage recorded an SPR in her race, while Marquart recorded a PR.  Also recording PRs

Reading’s Varsity Boy’s and Girl’s Cross-Country teams competed at the Leslie Invitational this afternoon.  On the girl’s side, the Rangers placed fourth.
