Varsity Baseball Falls to Springport

Results Game 1: Lost 13-9.  Bats came alive early. We got out to a 9-2 lead.  Matt Poublon, Dalton Creager, and Jon Randall each had 2 hits. Could not hold on. Springport chipped away each inning. Ended up winning 13-9. Results Game 2: Tough game for the Rangers losing 20-1. Record is now 2-6 overall.

Ranger Varsity Baseball Split With North Adams-Jerome

Reading lost Game 1 14-4 to North Adams. We were tied 3-3 after 3.5 innings. Had trouble getting outs in the bottom half of the 4th inning. Reading won Game 2 8-5 in 7 innings. Justin Panarisi gave up 1 run in the 1st and retired the side in both the 2nd and the 3rd.

JV Baseball Wins One

The JV Baseball Team outscored Union City 13 -12 in game 1 of a double header. David Fitzgerald hit 2 doubles and turned a double play. Jacob Green made his pitching debut and got the win. Rangers lost game two by a score of 13 to 1.

Quincy Swept the Rangers

Reading Varsity Baseball dropped a pair to the Orioles last night 16-1 and 19-0. Devin Higley collected three hits in four plate appearances including a triple. The Rangers will play their last home game of the season next Tuesday, 5/21 when Union City comes into town.

Junior Varsity Baseball Finishes Second

Reading won the first game 4-2. Justin Panarisi scattered 5 hits and struck out 6 for the victory. The Rangers dropped the night cap 9-6. Devin Higley collected two hits on the night.

Suspended Game Ends in Victory

The Rangers defeated the Athens Indians 9-8 in eight innings. Alex Simmons pitched a scoreless eighth to pick up the win. The Rangers picked up hits by Trent Shafer, Jacob Green, and Devin Higley in the eighth to score the winning run. Higley and Ryan Galloway collected two hits each. Rangers now stand at 8-4.
