Rangers Beat Homer in OT

The 7th grade boys’ basketball team defeated Homer in an overtime thriller Wednesday evening.  The final score was Reading 50 Homer 46.  The Rangers erased a 7 point deficit in the last minute to tie the game and send it into overtime.  Another good overall team effort for the Reading Rangers. In 7th grade basketball action, the Ranger of Reading defeated Springport by a score of 49-7.  Again the Rangers started fast and never slowed down.  The team played excellent team defense for all 4 quarters. Rangers Over Concord in 7th Grade Basketball

The 7th grade boys defeated Concord by a score of 51-21.  The Rangers lead from start to finish and played very good team defense.  Ten different Reading Rangers scored in the win.  Colton Bassage scored 11 followed by Zac Affholter with 9.  Wade Keegan and Colton Wiler poured in 8 and 7 apiece.  Landen Clabaugh,

8th Grade Falls Short at Concord

The 8th grade boys lost a well played game against Concord Wednesday night Eli Irelan lead the way with 11 points Matthew Stewart added 7 points. Defense kept us in it all night with everyone working hard.  Final score 21-31.  The Ranger will travel to Springport on Monday, Nov. 13th.

8th Grade Wins Season Opener

The 8th grade boys won their opener against Quincy 29 to 28 even scoring across the team with Duke Green leading the scoring with 8 points and Cole Webster with 7.

7th Grade Rangers Open with a Win

The 7th grade boys’ basketball team started the season with a victory over rival Quincy.  The team played very well despite only having a week’s worth of preparation. The final score was Reading 32 Quincy 26.  Four guys paced the Ranger attack.  Wade Keegan led all scorers with 13 points.  Maverick Messenger followed with 9. 

Reading Basketball Academic All State

The Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) recently announced its postseason awards.  The Ranger Boys Varsity Basketball members were honored to receive recognition for two different distinctions. Junior Devin Giberson, received the TEAM FIRST award.  The criteria included players who most exemplified putting the team before self, teamwork, commitment, service, and sacrifice.  Devin is one of

Rangers Beat Spartans on Parents Night

A 31-4 run in the second half was the difference in Reading’s 52-35 win over Springport on Thursday night. “I’ve been telling them all year, it’s about imposing your will on another team,” said Rangers coach Brett Kerspilo. “That’s exactly what it was.
