LoPresto Competes at State

On Wednesday, February 15th, the Reading Wrestling team traveled to Mendon High School for Team Regionals.  The Rangers took on the Bronson Vikings in the opening round.  The Vikings pulled ahead with a quick 36-0 lead.  The Rangers answered with 12 points, but it wasn’t enough and Bronson pulled out the win 72-12.  Winning by

On Saturday, February 11th, the Reading Wrestling team traveled to Cassopolis High School for the Individual District Tournament.  Ethan LoPresto (145) took 2nd place after pinning Camden Frontier’s Drew Haines in 3:37 in the quarterfinals, pinning Mendon’s Kaden Frye in 3:28 in the semifinals, and losing an 11-6 decision against Decatur’s Ethan May.  Trey Shafer

Rangers Wrestle in Team Districts

On Wednesday, February 8th, the Reading Wrestling team traveled to Quincy High School for Team Districts. In the fourth and final league meet of the year, Reading’s Varsity Wrestling team took on Union City and Athens at RHS.  The Rangers came out strong against the Chargers pulling ahead and never looking back as they won 12 of the 14 matches and ended the dual with 72 points to Union City’s 12. In the third league meet of the year, Reading’s Varsity Wrestling team took on Concord and Homer at Springport High School.  In the first dual of the evening, the Rangers faced off against the Concord Yellowjackets.  The Rangers crushed the Yellowjackets 75 to 6 winning all but one match.  Winning for the Rangers were Brendan Watson
